When You Don’t Know What To Pray

WE ARE NEARING LABOR!!!!!!!!!!

By Shellina | August 19, 2011

Alright…so I’m not the brighest bulb in the pack…and for the past few months, this word “transitional”, has been on my lips. I have been coming into contact with Christian after Christian that is in a “transitional” state. At first I was doing a little mental log thinking…hmmm…that’s neat Father…we are too it’s comforting to know we aren’t alone. Then I meet another family, another missionary, another friend, another family member, our own church, other churches, and I get this almost exact story. Read the rest of this entry »

If We Open Our Eyes What Could We See?

By Shellina | June 16, 2011

I’ve been back home now for a little while and I’m still not in the mood to go back to normal life. I am here, but my heart is desperate to go back to that ahhhhhhh…that came with just having time to experience life, nature, and honestly just the quieter pace of life in Hawaii.  Read the rest of this entry »

Taste and SEE!!!!!!

By Shellina | March 29, 2011

”But the water I give them,” he said, “becomes a perpetual spring within them, watering them forever with eternal life” John 4:14

I would describe my life as an attempt to take the living water described here put it in a nice cute tea cup and taking a lady like sip, only to find myself bored with the routine and unsatisfied with “Jesus”.

There Are Voices In My Head

By Shellina | March 17, 2011

Yep, maybe you think this is the final confirmation that I’m officially a nut bag. Probably correct, and yet it’s true.

I have this raging lunatic living on the inside and this ultra chill hippy that seem to battle it out day to day on which one wants to be nice and which one wants to rule. It’s funny because on any given day either can be my “good” or “bad” side…but if you know me this is no surprise.

I feel this need to just get this out………

This Is The Gospel Alive In You!

By Shellina | March 4, 2011

Let me tell the details first, my best friend Michelle has been hit with diverticulitis. She’s still hospitalized and although her physical body is not completely appearing to be healed, it’s happening. She was scheduled for another emergency surgery this morning because of complications from the first sugery, but the doctors saw improvement and it’s on hold at this moment. A Friday Night Ramble

By Shellina | February 19, 2011

22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts. Prov 26:22

I read this today and thought…hmm…probably need to remain good about that…then today I found a juicy bit of info about a famous person and shared it. I literally wanted to smack myself in the head. It wasn’t like a slip up and I just passed along a bit I “knew” it was juicy bad and out of my mouth it went. Read the rest of this entry »

Gropin For Jesus

By Shellina | February 8, 2011

Our Pastor has been doing a series on love lately. I was excited because I know that this is something I’ve been praying about for some time.

Many times I have felt like a complete fraud to sing these songs of amazing love for God. I’ve “felt” them at times in the past..and through the past four years I’ve felt more “love” for him than I might have ever had since I was a child. Read the rest of this entry »

Do You Love Me?

By Shellina | February 1, 2011

These might be the most intimate and chilling words for me in all of the Gospels.

Peter, Do you love me?

John 21 Jesus has died on the cross and is now appearing to the disciples before his return to heaven. Peter has come to terms with his great betrayal and appears to have humbled himself enough to come back to the group. This time when realizes it’s Jesus giving him fishing advice, he’s in a panic to get over to him. Read the rest of this entry »

Secret Sins of the Heart

By Shellina | January 18, 2011

Hungry I come to You, for I know You satisfy
I am empty but I know your love does not run dry
So I wait for You, So I wait for You

Imagine a lover as they profess their undying love and devotion….as they begin to softly tell you of each magnificent way your love transforms them and their desperation for you. Imagine the love is one sided and you must hide behind your eyes a reality that not only do you not share their intensity…you don’t even share their love and devotion.
